This is an antique French buffet in the Louis Philippe style with a beautiful Belgian marble top. This case piece has both a top drawer and a lower cabinet with three divided spaces. The top of the cabinet is a single, wide space above two lower cubbies separated at the middle. The shelves are not adjustable. The drawer is also divided into three compartments. There is a single key which can be used as a pull to open the drawer and lower doors, however the locking mechanisms do not appear to be working. The cabinet doors feature beautiful grain detail and a ribbed decoration where the doors close as well as simple keyhole shaped escutcheons in brass. The feet are low-profile, modified bun feet with some simple turned details.

This piece measures 47.5"W x 21"D x 39"H. There is surface wear present throughout and some losses to the finish at the lower apron (primarily on the left side, just below the left-hand door), sides and feet. There is surface wear to the marble, but no major cracks. The tones in the marble are charcoal, black, light gray and some tan/warmer tones of grays. The marble can be removed for transport.
